Brownies with a twist

Hello Folks!!!

I'm going to share with you the happiest accident I ever had. It was just another fun packed day. My sister and I were rummaging through the bookshelves to find our long seen Famous Five book- a three in one combo. Finally, we found it. We got so immersed in the book and realized the hunger pangs only when the passage came to talk about food.  Ann and Georgina busy nibbling hot brownies melting with chocolate...

After a boring lunch, we decided to make our own hot brownies, just as beautiful as the one in the story. Yes, there was Chef Zumbo's, recipe from TLC. His show has so many participants competing to make the best as well as mind-blowing dessert. I still can't believe how they managed to make, the cake that defies gravity. Zumbo emphasizes on creativity and intricate details, while reminding that food has its own chemistry. Oops! not just chemistry, physics as well. Whether Newton liked Zumbo's concepts or not, I'm sure he'll not be able to defy his desserts.

We decided to make something creative and tasty, of course a perfect brownie. My sister pulled out a long wooden spoon and held, pointing it at me, just like Harry Potter in his Potions Class. It was like making a magic potion with all  the right ingredients, the right will and also, one shouldn't forget the right way to flick the 'wand'. Potions  must be stirred, clockwise with the 'wooden wand '. Everything was going smoothly and we were done with the batter and kept it in the oven to bake. We kept looking through the dotted glass of the oven and check if everything was going on well inside our 'cauldron'. Things looked okay and we decided to get started with the chocolate sauce. But then, we realized that we overbaked them for an extra 10 minutes!!! It was so dry and lost all its fudginess and moisture.

What should you do if you end up in a similar situation?

I was heart-broken, but here comes my sister, the wise Athena, with an easy solution. No problem is ever a problem for her. She stared at it for a while and came up with this brilliant idea. We started to cut out little cubes and rolled them into balls. Then, dipped them into the chocolate sauce and popped them into the fridge. It tasted exactly like one of those chocolates we get from an all-candy store with  an assortment of goodies. This was one of our small yet beautiful accidents. Never forget the secret ingredient- creativity. Follow your imagination and even if you leave chemistry to be a mystery, there will always be a superb idea that will lead you to a wonderful creation.

What more can you do?

Once you are done making the chocolate coated balls, You can add them into your vanilla ice-cream. That really is a wonderful combination. You can even add a dash of sprinkles to make them look even more colourful. Desiccated coconut can also act like a variant.

If you have some dry brownies, you can use them to make some milk shake. Just add some softened ice-cream, brownie chunks and milk into a blender. Blend it until smooth. Transfer it into glasses and garnish with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and some brownie crumbs. And there you go, Bon Appétit!
